Filters:

Q: How often do filters require replacement?

A: It depends on the location and application of the AHU. VES recommend that all pre filters are replaced on a 3 monthly basis, and bag filters on a 6 monthly basis to keep your unit running in tip top condition and avoid the inconvenience of a breakdown.

Q: What information is required to identify and quote for a replacement filter that may not be of VES origin?

A: The height, length and width of the filter frame, the colour and type of the material inside of the filter frame and the material of the filter frame.

Q: Can I purchase the fan separate to the fan motor assembly?

A: No, these are manufactured as one complete item. Fan and motor in one housing.

Q: Can I have the motor repaired within the fan motor assembly? 

A: No, VES does not offer this service, full replacement is required.

Q: What information is required to replace a fan within an AHU that may not be of VES origin?

A: Details from the fan nameplate, to identify the phase, fan speed, voltage, motor power and dimensions of the fan housing and opening.

Belt Driven Fan Motor Assembly: TLZ and NTHZ part range

Q: How often do the motor drive belts require replacement?

A: It depends on the application of the AHU. VES recommend that belts are replaced or tensioned every 3 - 6 months; we also recommend  storing a spare set onsite.

Q: How often do drive pulleys require replacement?

A: It depends on the location and application of the AHU. VES recommends that the condition of these are checked frequently as over a period
of time the pulleys will become worn.

Q: What information is required to replace a belt driven fan within an AHU that may not be of VES origin?

A: Details from the fan and motor plate, bush and pulley size, and the dimensions of the fan housing and opening.

Q: What information is required to replace a belt within an AHU that may not be of VES origin?


A: Marked inside the belt should be a part number code. Alternatively details can be provided from the pulley, motor and fan plate.

Motors:

Q: What information is required to replace a motor within an AHU that may not be of VES origin?

A: Details should be sourced from the existing motor plate, to identify the motor frame size, shaft size, kW rating and Full Load Current.
